This musical version of the traditional folk story has a few twists in the tale with a walking mirror, articulate animals and a collection of marmalade farmers all joining in the fun. Ideal for all year round, as well as Christmas, there are 7 sparkling new songs and even a line dance to encourage audience participation. Written originally for a village school, there is lots of scope for children of all abilities from 7 to 11, with lots of opportunities for singing and dancing. The script is half verse and half prose enabling the longest parts to be easily learned and helping immeasurably with comic timing. The script and music is by Nick Cornall, author of several successful and popular musicals for children. A CD containing all of the songs both as vocal tracks and backing tracks is available.
