Peter Sills has had a long and varied career in music. On leaving school he turned professional working as a guitarist travelling around the world with numerous musicians in many countries. He settled in London for a while where he was working as a session musician in many top recording studios and also played with several leading musicians such as Rick Wakeman. In his mid twenties Peter's career changed direction. He discovered his love for song writing and consequently had considerable success writing hit songs including, I'm Nearly Famous, When Two Worlds Drift Apart, and Every Face Tells A Story for Cliff Richard, Olivia Newton John and many other well known artists. His career turned around yet again while living in Nashville Tennessee. Peter was asked to teach music to five-year-old kids, for one long week in an American Summer Camp. Perhaps for the first time in his life he discovered that he was capable of being nervous! However, it was this experience that introduced Peter to career change number three - Teaching. Peter went on to teach hundreds of children in dozens of schools both in the USA and here in Britain and as a consequence set up his own music school in London. Peter currently lives in London where he manages to find time for the four big loves of his life: Performing, Writing, Teaching and his family. |
